  Visiting Albuquerque for balloon festival. After getting our poodle groomed, we were told her feet seemed swollen and ears were bad. Poodles need hair pulled from the inside. We got an appointment the next day at La Cueva and were very relieved. Dr Kim checked her out and she did have ear infection. They cleaned her ears and sent us on our way with meds. She and the staff were very pleasant, kind to our dog and efficient. Thank you for taking care of us!

  I typically don't write reviews, but decided I really wanted to put my experience on here. My friend recommended La Cueva after taking her dogs there and I was looking for a new vet. I always read reviews first and was a little concerned that there were some bad reviews, but also understand that some people are just jerks, so I decided to give them a try on my friend's recommendation. My whole experience was great! From the first phone call, everyone was friendly and helpful. When I went in, the waiting room smelled nice and was very clean. I was put in a room right away after I filled out my paperwork. The doctor and assistant came in the room and went over any issues I had and then got blood for a heartworm test and gave the shots in the room. They were very gentle and gave her treats while giving shots so she didn't even notice. The whole place was calm and everyone was warm and knowledgeable and I didn't have to wait forever in a room full of animals like I had to at my old vet. I will definitely be taking my pets here from now on and I highly recommend them!
