  With a name like Rainbow Dental, I expected that they would be a reasonable dentist for treating kids, but my daughter, six at the time, had a terrible experience there. The dentist said that my daughter needed two root canals and temporary (silver) crowns. The crown was supposed to last until the molar came out. My daughter was near hysterical during the procedure, but that was not entirely the dentist's fault. A week later one of my daughter's crowns fell out. The dentist said that the tooth had to come out, so her charged for an extraction. About a month later my daughter complained about tooth pain around the crown. We went back and a hole had been worn through the silver crown, and he recommended extraction. I asked if there was any workmanship warranty with the dental work, since the crowns were initially supposed to last until the molars were ready to come out. Dentist said NO, and we would be charged the regular price for an extraction. We went to another dentist, had temporary crown replaced, and my daughter (with the help of nitrous oxide, giggled through the procedure.) The new crown lasted until the molar came out naturally (age 9.) Overall, the experience was both painful and expensive. I try to be objective, but honestly this was the worst experience I've ever had.
